LANGUAGE
A1 level is the first of six levels of language proficiency in a European language, as framed by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A1 is the most basic level of language proficiency indicating the learner:
It is very basic, so as long as you have the drive to learn a few phrases (like my Schönes Wochenende!) you will be fine when test-time arrives.
We want to be sure you feel prepared and optimistic that you will pass. We know you will do well, but if you’d like to connect with a former Study Feeds students who have taken the test for a firsthand perspective, let us know by emailing language@studyfeeds.com. If you’d simply like more resources or just some words of encouragement, feel free to send us an email or give us a call at 9911160779 to schedule a visit to our institute. We’re always here to help!

There are two portions of the A1 exam:
1. Written examination held in groups (65 minutes) (Listening, Reading & Writing)
2. Oral examination held in a group (15 minutes)
To reach the A1 level without any prior German knowledge, we suggest you plan for at least 80 hours of studying. That may sounds like a lot, but it’s actually only about 1-2 months of preparation for an entirely new language.
A good, affordable place to start is right off the Study Feeds website. We offer free practice materials to get you set for the level you are testing for.
Once you feel that you meet the language requirements, you can enroll for an exam at any time. You can find all of the testing centers directly on the Goethe Institute’s website. Also, it is conducted quarterly in Delhi. Therefore, you can visit your nearest examination centre and update yourself. To know about your nearest language examination testing centre, you can check the website of the respective institution conducting the examination. In India, German language examinations are conducted by Goethe and TestDaF.
